The sessions are aimed at people who have been bereaved, who have been
diagnosed or are caring for somebody with a long-term or life-limiting illness.
There are currently twenty people in the group most of whom are regular
attendees.
They are supported by Jackie Ridge and Bradley Clarke from the Hospice Day Care
Team and Steve Smith, Volunteer Chaplain.
Those present spoke very highly of the service and said it had made a huge
difference to them as they gained support from each other and formed friendships
with those in a similar situation as well as receiving information, advice and support
from St Nicholas Hospice Care.
The Lady Ryder of Warsaw Memorial Trust is very pleased to support this very
worthy project only eight miles from Cavendish, the former Headquarters of the
Sue Ryder Foundation.
