On the 19th June, the Sue Ryder Home at Gorno celebrated its 25th Anniversary since opening and 30 years since Lady Ryder chose the site. Set in the grounds of the St John II Hospital for Lung Diseases, the Sue Ryder Home provides palliative and end of life care. On the Anniversary, our chairman, Robert Frith, was invited to attend the celebrations.
The director of the Hospital remarked that guests saw that the Sue Ryder name on the wall of the Home is not just an empty sign, but a living place for those in need, where Lady Ryder’s wonderful idea is present every day.”
We wish them well for the next 25 years.
